Product Overview Nitrazepam 5 mg is a prescription medication belonging to the benzodiazepine class. It acts as a hypnotic and sedative, primarily used for the short-term treatment of severe insomnia (difficulty falling asleep, frequent night awakenings, or early morning waking) where non-drug treatments have been ineffective. It may also be prescribed in certain cases for managing myoclonic seizures. Nitrazepam helps calm the brain and nerves, promoting sleep by enhancing the effects of a natural chemical called GABA.

Important Warning This medicine is intended for short-term use only (typically 2–4 weeks maximum, including tapering). Prolonged use can lead to tolerance, dependence, and withdrawal symptoms. Dosage and Administration
