It is primarily used for the short-term relief of severe anxiety, management of acute alcohol withdrawal symptoms, relief of muscle spasms, adjunctive treatment in certain seizure disorders (e.g., status epilepticus), and as a premedication before surgical or diagnostic procedures. Important Warning This medicine is intended for short-term use only (typically 2–4 weeks for anxiety; longer use only under strict medical supervision). Dosage and Administration
